Financial Stewardship Project
Stewardship & Operations Financial Tools
A complete financial-management system for service organizations, designed to preserve financial history, strengthen accountability, simplify treasurer transitions, and keep day-to-day bookkeeping connected to the reports and audit records that depend on it.
Explore the DemonstrationSOFT was built around a simple principle: financial records should remain understandable, auditable, and usable long after the person who entered them has moved on.
Stewardship & Operations Financial Tools replaces disconnected spreadsheets and informal handoff practices with one controlled financial workspace. Receipts, expenses, deposits, disbursements, reconciliations, budgets, reports, supporting documents, and audit history remain linked to the same fiscal-year record.
The system is designed for volunteer-led service organizations where leadership changes regularly and where the next treasurer, chair, or auditor needs to understand not only the current balance, but how that balance was produced.
Connected Financial Workflow
Receipts flow into deposits, expenses into disbursements, and both into reconciliation and reporting without recreating the same information in separate ledgers.
Budget & Chart of Accounts
Maintain an organization-specific chart of accounts, approve annual budgets, preserve amendments, and compare actual activity with budgeted amounts throughout the fiscal year.
Reconciliation & Reporting
Complete bank reconciliations and produce Treasurer, Budget vs Actual, contribution, register, cash-flow, and audit reports from the same underlying records.
Permanent Audit History
Corrections, voids, reconciliations, fiscal-year close, annual audit records, and other significant actions are preserved so historical activity remains traceable.
Protected Supporting Documents
Attach invoices, receipts, statements, and other supporting records while storing them outside the public web root and serving them only through authorized SOFT access.
Roles & Treasurer Transition
Treasurer and Chair roles can manage the system, while Auditor access is fully read-only. Transition summaries preserve the information needed for an orderly handoff between officers.
